Product Overview
Vanconol® amine TOH is an alkyl imidazoline structured organic intermediate with good thermal stability. Unneutralized amine TOH is hydrophobic, soluble in organic solvents, non-polar solvents and mineral oil, but cannot be completely dissolved in water. The imidazoline ring structure in the molecule can form ion-bonds with the opposite polarity substances, so that it can be strongly adsorbed on metals, fibers, plastics, glass and mineral surface, forming a dense molecular film structure, where hydrophilic surfaces are converted to hydrophobic surfaces.
When neutralized as a salt, it can be stable in acidic conditions, reducing the surface tension of acidic aqueous solutions, resulting in pickling solutions with good wettability. Neutralized salt provides cationic and dispersing properties, used to modify the surface of powder materials.

Industry Specifics
Bitumen (asphalt): Enhances adhesion with sand, gravel, and ash. Shows excellent adhesion to wet surfaces (metal, concrete) and provides resistance to flood, acid rain, and corrosion.
Rubber Processing: Used as retarders for fast curing butyl rubbers to reduce scorching, as curing accelerators, and as softening/plasticizing agents.
Antistatic Agents: Forms a layer of continuous conducting film on the surface of fiber and plastic to derive static fricative.
Paints: Improves adhesion to wet surfaces and enhances water proofing. Acts as a dispersant for aqueous industrial coatings, pastes, and inks.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the primary use of Vanconol® amine TOH?
It is primarily used as a high-quality corrosion inhibitor for acid systems, as well as an intermediate in industrial lubricants, paints, and rubber processing.
2. Is Vanconol® amine TOH soluble in water?
The unneutralized form is hydrophobic and soluble in organic solvents/oils, but not completely in water. However, when neutralized as a salt, it becomes stable in acidic aqueous solutions.
3. What are the available packaging sizes?
Standard packaging includes 200ml bottles for samples, 25kg plastic drums, and 180kg iron drums for bulk orders.
4. How should the product be stored for a maximum shelf life?
It should be kept in a sealed container in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area at room temperature, away from any fire sources. The shelf life is 24 months.
5. Can I get a sample for testing?
Yes, we provide free 1kg samples for testing purposes. Delivery is usually handled via express services like DHL, Fedex, or UPS.
6. Does the product meet international quality standards?
Yes, the production is certified under ISO9001:2008 (Quality), ISO14001:2004 (Environment), and OHSAS18001:2007 (Health & Safety).
