Vanconol® amine TOH is an alkyl imidazoline structured organic intermediate with excellent thermal stability. Unneutralized amine TOH is hydrophobic and soluble in organic solvents, non-polar solvents, and mineral oil. The imidazoline ring structure allows it to form ion-bonds with opposite polarity substances, enabling strong adsorption on metals, fibers, plastics, glass, and mineral surfaces to form a dense protective molecular film.
When neutralized as a salt, it remains stable under acidic conditions, reducing surface tension and providing excellent wettability. It is widely used to modify powder material surfaces from hydrophilic to hydrophobic through surface adsorption.

Bitumen (Asphalt): Enhances adhesion with sand, gravel, and ash. Provides resistance to flood, acid rain, and corrosion on wet surfaces.
Rubber Processing: Used as retarders for fast curing butyl rubbers, curing accelerators, and softening agents.
Antistatic Agents: Forms a continuous conducting film on fibers and plastics to eliminate static friction.
Paints & Inks: Improves adhesion to wet surfaces and enhances water proofing. Acts as a high-stability dispersant for water-based systems.
This product should be sealed and stored in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place at room temperature away from fire sources.
