White Fused Alumina (WA/WFA) is a high-purity synthetic mineral manufactured by the fusion of controlled quality pure grade Bayer Alumina in an electric arc furnace at temperatures greater than 2000°C. This is followed by a slow solidification process to ensure superior crystal structure.
Key features include high whiteness, extreme hardness, excellent self-sharpening properties, high grinding efficiency, and outstanding thermal stability. It is highly resistant to acid and alkali erosion.
Main Applications by Size:
1. Refractory & Castable Grade:
| Properties | Grade | Al2O3 (%) | SiO2 (%) | Fe2O3 (%) | Na2O (%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Section Sand | 0-8mm | ≥ 99.0 | ≤ 0.40 | ≤ 0.20 | ≤ 0.40 |
| Fine Powder | 0-325# | ≥ 98.5 | ≤ 0.30 | ≤ 0.20 | ≤ 0.40 |
2. Abrasive & Polishing Grade:
| Application | Size Range | Al2O3 (%) | Fe2O3 (%) | Na2O (%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blasting/Grinding | 24# - 220# | ≥ 99.0 | ≤ 0.20 | ≤ 0.30 |
| Lapping/Polishing | W63 - W0.5 | ≥ 99.0 | ≤ 0.20 | ≤ 0.40 |
Standard packaging includes 1 MT big bags or 25kg paper bags (40 bags per pallet). Custom packaging is available upon request.
The facility operates 7 smelting furnaces, 4 grinding millers, and 5 ball grinders. Quality is maintained through a central laboratory featuring OMEC particle size analyzers and micro-analysis instruments. Annual capacity reaches 50,000 tons.
